Nota d'usoPer rivelare l'infondatezza di un'affermazione, si può usare l'espressione it's a myth: It's a myth that it's always sunny in Italy, che in Italia ci sia sempre il sole è una leggenda. Il sostantivo legend non è utilizzato in questa accezione. Spesso in italiano it's a myth si può tradurre con “è un falso mito”: It's a myth that the US can be energy independent within the next decades, che gli USA saranno indipendenti energeticamente nei prossimi decenni è un falso mito.
